Sharjah Club and Ajax Amsterdam Netherlands signed a partnership agreement between the two academies of the two clubs, which will last for the next three years, during which the Dutch club will supervise the Sharjah Club Academy.

This came during a press conference held today, Sunday, at the club’s headquarters in the Samnan region in Sharjah, as the partnership agreement includes the Ajax Academy supervising the Sharjah Football Club Academy through training teams residing in the country that are responsible for all aspects of the academy, including discovering and developing talent, support and others.

For his part, President of the Sharjah Football Club, Mohsen Musabeh, described this partnership as a very important step for the Sharjah Club.

Mohsen Musabeh added, "We are pleased to have this partnership with Ajax Club, owner of the best football academy in the world."

He continued, "Through this we aspire to develop and develop the football academy in Sharjah Club by applying the best training methodologies and best international practices to build a distinguished generation of football players and make them future sports leaders."

Musabeh pointed out that one of the objectives of the project, which finds direct interest from the Chairman of the Board Mohamed Jumaa bin Hindi, is to develop the capabilities of the Emirati coaches through direct contact with the coaches who will come from Ajax and benefit from their experiences in creating a broad national cadre that carries the training and development burdens in the future.

For his part, Ajax club CEO Edwin van der Sar spoke, describing the step of the mission, expressing his happiness at completing this agreement that allowed them to expand their network in the world.

He said, "We are delighted to be here in the Emirates and to increase our network in the world by joining the Sharjah Emirates Club, holder of the UAE Gulf League title, one of the representatives of the UAE in the AFC Champions League 2020."

Edwin added, "This club has maintained a distinguished level since last season, and it occupies second place in the league until this moment, strongly defending its title." We have found in the field of academies a ground and a mutual understanding between us and Sharjah Club.

Van Dar Saar stressed that they found a unique partner in Sharjah Club.

The conference was attended by the Secretary General of the Sharjah Sports Council, Issa Hilal Al Hazami, President of the Football Club of the club Mohsen Musabeh, and the President and CEO of Ajax Club, Edwin van der Sar.
