First it was Connor McMichael who found the far cross from his left position to 1-0 after 01.48. Just over a minute later, giant talent Alexis Lafrenière increased to 2-0 with a backhand in the first cross behind Finland's goalkeeper Justus Annunen. By 03.55, Canada had reached a 3-0 lead through a goal by Jamie Drysdale.

- Finland did not stick around and it was a violent pressure from Canada. The annunen has a bad day, and we knew before that he needed to have a really good day. Finland has created some situations, but the first five minutes destroyed a lot, says SVT Sports expert Mikael Renberg.

"Don't be ready"

After the shock introduction, Finland played something up - but that didn't help. With just over five minutes left of the first period, Ty Dellandrea put it 4-0. That after a dubious defense and goalkeeper case from Finland.

At the end of the second period, Canada increased to 5-0 when Alexis Lafrenière scored the second goal of the match.

- We were not ready for the match and the first period was really bad. Things don't go our way and it's just bad, says Mattias Maccelli to SVT Sport.

Meets Sweden

Finland had several chances to reduce, but Alexis Lafreniere's goal was the final of the match. That means Canada meets Russia in the JVM final. The team met already in the group stage and then Russia won with a whole 6-0.

For Finland, bronze match tomorrow awaits the Junior crowns. A match that will be broadcast in SVT starting at 14.45.
