• RESEARCH: The Civil Guard doubles the RFEF money that diverted the former Rubiales 'number two': 1.1 million
  • SOULE OPERATION One year later

Judge Santiago Pedraz imputes the first vice president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) for a crime of fraud in the framework of the 'Soule case'. The holder of the number one Court of Instruction has agreed to the citation of Antonio Suárez Santana after the Civil Guard, as revealed exclusively by EL MUNDO, accused him of diverting federal funds through the Canarian Federation.

It should be remembered that Suárez Santana replaced Andreu Subies a few months ago as 'number two' of the agency after the Judicial Police themselves proved that the latter had appropriated funds from the RFEF through the Catalan Federation to build a house and a restaurant for his wife

In the case of Suárez Santana, Rubiales, defended the innocence of his current right hand and has kept him in his position despite the accusations of the investigators.

The Central Operating Unit (UCO) maintains, first, that Suárez Santana allowed his right hand in the Canarian Federation to appropriate funds from the construction of artificial turf fields. But he also considered "plausible", to find his name in a document that contained the distribution of commissions, which would have been made personally through the plot.

Also, the judicial investigation has discovered during the last months that the Canarian Federation deceived the RFEF by requesting a subsidy for the construction of the artificial turf of the Heidelberg school. For this reason the Professional Football League itself, personified in the procedure, asked the judge that Suárez Santana be charged for a crime of fraud.

The vice president of the RFEF will testify as investigated before the National Court on January 21.
