Ryan Babel helped Galatasaray in the Süper Lig on Saturday with a goal of a 5-0 victory over Antalyaspor. Earlier in the day, Eljero Elia made his first goal of the season for Istanbul Basaksehir.
Babel came in for Galatasaray fifteen minutes before time and made the 4-0 against Antalyaspor eight minutes later. The Orange-international took a beautiful long pass from former NAC player Ömer Bayram and pushed the ball in.
For Babel it was his fifth league goal of the season. In early November, the attacker last scored in the home game against Rizespor (2-0) for Galatasaray.
The other goals from Galatasaray were scored by Radamel Falcao, who scored twice, including one from a penalty kick, Ondrej Celustka (own goal) and Taylan Antalyali. Ryan Donk played the entire game with the home team.
With the win, Galatasaray is now sixth in the Turkish league. The team of coach Fatih Terim is seven points behind leader Sivasspor, who will receive Göztepe on Sunday.
Elia scores for the first time since the end of January
Elia scored the fifth goal for Istanbul Basaksehir in the home game won against Kasimpasa, 5-1. The attacker found the goal for his club for the last time in January of this year.
The other goals from Basaksehir were made by Demba Ba, who was twice accurate, Enzo Crivelli and Jorge Fernandes (own goal). Ricardo Quaresma saved the honor for Kasimpasa from a penalty.
Elia completed the ninety minutes at Basaksehir, which occupies second place in the ranking. The backlog on Sivasspor is one point.
