It is not common for a player of the right age, and who has played a lot in the NHL, to go to JVM as the NHL clubs usually are not interested in releasing their players. For example, Adam Boqvist of Chicago, who played 14 games in the NHL and 15 in the AHL during the fall, will not be released.

But Winnipeg Jets released David Gustafsson, who thus becomes the player in the Swedish team with the most NHL matches this season. And the Smaland talent believes in a better tournament from Sweden than last year when it was respas in the quarterfinals.

- Although we don't have guys like Rasmus Dahlin on the back side, I think we have, especially on the back side we have a lot of good offensive backs, so I think we have a team that can go all the way, says Gustafsson.

- In the future, we may not have the same tip as the back, but it is definitely enough to go all the way.

When Gustafsson got the chance to go, there was never any talk about whether he would accept yes or no. And it is, among other things, the disappointment of last year that is behind the desire to play the tournament.

- JVM, there are few people to go on it. You are the revenge sucker after last year, so it was obvious that I wanted to go.
