Al Dhafra team reached the quarter-finals of the President’s Cup for football after winning 9-8 on penalties at the expense of the Ajman team after the end of the official time and the two additional games in a negative tie in the match that was held this evening at Al Nahyan Stadium in the capital Abu Dhabi.
The penalty shootout reached 10 per team before Al Dhafra goalkeeper Khalid Al Sanani succeeded in tackling the tenth penalty shootout carried out by Ajman Commander Rashid Malallah, while Al Dhafra defender Abdul Rahman Youssef successfully implemented the kick of his team to lead "Al Faris Al Dhafra" to qualify for the quarter-finals.
Al Dhafra team blew up heavy-caliber surprises last season when it managed to make its way and reach the final match for the first time in its history before losing the title to Al-Ahly youth.
