Oklahoma City Thunder players have been unharmed during a shooting at a shopping center in Oklahoma City on Thursday.

The team was watching a private screening of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker when it was evacuated from a movie theater at Penn Square Mall. One person was in critical condition after being shot in the upper body at the mall, according to Oklahoma City police.

A spokesman for Thunder issued a statement: "Thunder's security was reported immediately. The team was never in danger and was safe throughout the event."

News9.com reported that Thunder pivot Steven Adams was seen being escorted out of the mall, holding a three-dimensional R2-D2 figure.

The mall was closed, as well as the adjacent streets while the police searched for the suspect.
