The Olympic and World Cup champion Hanna Öberg has in recent seasons become one of the world's best biathletes. And this season, little sister Elvira Öberg, 20, introduced herself to the biathlon crowd. In his World Cup debut, the talent was long fought for victory. In the end, she finished eight in the sprint. She followed it up by making a super stretch in the first baton in senior context.

- Elvira already has better technology than Hanna in terms of driving. Exactly what it is she will go skiing next season. Elvira Öberg will be as good as any. Maybe not this year, but in the future, SVT Sports expert Björn Ferry said after the race.

Beyond expectation

Elvira Öberg himself is also surprised at the rapid success.

- It's been great fun. During the fall I felt that I had taken a step, but that it would have gone so well I did not think. It's been really, really fun, says Elvira Öberg to SVT Sport.

- I know that I have come closer and closer and know that the Swedish national team holds a high class. But that I would be up here already is beyond expectation.

Elvira Öberg thinks that big sister Hanna meant a lot to her.

- It's clear that she's always been there as an inspiration and a safety since I entered the national team. I have received many tips and learned a lot from her. she says.

"Tough tracks"

Today she can continue with the success lead as sprint awaits in French Annecy-Le Grand Bornand.

- There are tough tracks and it has been very hot these days. But it will be cooler towards the weekend, but right now it is tough conditions.
