The contract with Wolfsburg extends over this and upcoming season.

- It'll be great fun. I'm really excited to get there and play with the world stars who play in Wolfsburg. I think it is a very developing club to train and play matches with, says Madelen Janogy to SVT Sport.

What do you hope to contribute to Wolfsburg?

- To get out my top skills by challenging one on one and taking me past the defender. I'll go out and do what I'm good at, and that's what Wolfsburg also wants.

Top club in Europe

Wolfsburg is one of Europe's best clubs. The club has won the German league five times, three of them in a row. In addition, Wolsburg has won the Champions League on two occasions.

- It feels like a very professional club. I have talked to the coach (Stephan Lerch) and the sports manager (Ralf Kellermann) and got a very good picture of the club.

In Wolfsburg, Madelen Janogy becomes teammate with national team players Hedvig Lindahl and Fridolina Rolfö.

In addition to Rolfö, she gets competition from Danish star Pernille Harder and German national striker Alexandra Popp.

- It will be an incredibly tough competition. There are world stars in the team, but I am aware of that. It's about being here and now and focusing on what I can, she says and continues:

- I will let it take time to change Piteå to Wolfsburg is a big step. It will be a big change and I will compete with very good players. I agree with the attitude that it will be very tough and that it will take the time I need.

The residence

After 13 matches, Wolfsburg leads the German league ahead of Hoffenheim. Right now, the team has a break to February.

- I'm going to go down on June 7. It will be very exciting and I am very grateful for this opportunity and the help I received from my agent Maria Karlsson, says Madelen Janogy.
