It is 32 years since Björklöven took the SM gold, 18 years since the club was in the highest series last. Now there is again hockey fever in the rich club from Umeå. The team is at the top of the table and is regarded as one of the big favorites to qualify for SHL.
- I think the Umeboras have suffered long enough, they are well worth these victories we have now taken in the beginning, says Per Kenttä.
38-year-old Kenttä is the new sports manager in Björklöven this season, by chance or not, the team after his arrival has lifted a lot. Kenttä is most recently from Oskarshamn he helped up in SHL this season.
What is the most important lesson you brought from Oskarshamn?
- I learned that nothing is impossible. Nobody thought we would make that trip. That's what triggers me, to make the same trip as Björklöven. Take the impossible step.
