All of the 19,300 seats in the Wells Fargo Center had received a note with the text "I fight for Oskar" which the fans then held in a joint manifestation.

"A fight. A family, ”the club writes on Twitter.

"It was really something to play for and we are with him every step of the game," goalkeeper Carter Hart told the AP.

Earlier on Tuesday, 23-year-old Lindblom made a visit to the dressing room after the team's morning warm-up before the meeting with Anaheim, which was defeated by 4-1.

It was the first meeting with teammates since he received the cancer message Ewing's sarcoma, a form of skeletal cancer, on Wednesday in connection with a road trip in Denver and returned to Philadelphia to meet specialists from the University of Pennsylvania.

- It was great because he had to leave Denver quickly and couldn't say goodbye to the guys. Everyone is worried and this goes far beyond hockey. He is here and receives the best care. It creates a nice energy level with us, says general manager Chuck Fletcher to the NHL.

The club has taken an active position against cancer

The team warmed up in their black and purple shirts, which are used specifically to pay attention to the fight against cancer. Afterwards at the press conference, coach Alain Vigneault took on the special significance of the match.

- We knew it was going to be a difficult match. We came from a couple of matches on the West Coast which was a difficult road trip and it was a great relief for us to meet Oskar and also his wonderful father. It was emotional but made us all happy, says Vigneault.

Three minutes from the end of the first period of the SHL match Djurgården - Brynäs (6-0) at a well-packed Hovet last night, the Brynäs fan unveiled two banners in support of Lindblom and the whole arena was united in a powerful manifestation with tactful clapping for one minute.

Lindblom is not expected to play anything this season.
