Big Air will be part of the freeski program at the Beijing Olympics 2022. Today the World Cup was visited at the lavish jump outside of China's capital and Jesper Tjäder got a nice taste for the Olympic Games in three years. There was a third place for the 25-year-old today and it was the Swedes' first hope that led to the fine result, the total points ended in 183, seven points behind the second.

Tjäder got a double in 1620 with Reverse Blunt. For those of you who are not fully acquainted, it means four and a half turns of rotation while the rider grabs the back left ski.

- That is really good. Absolutely perfect, said SVT expert Oscar Harlaut after the jump.

Tested hope for the Olympics

Sweden's big star Henrik Harlaut failed to qualify for the final. This after the Swede tested a Switch triple cork 1440 safety, a trick no one has managed to land yet.

- Henrik tried a new trick he had never done on skis before. He saw this a bit more like a training because this will be the Olympic jump. He was close but it didn't go as well as he wanted, said the associate captain Niklas Eriksson after the torment.

Oliwer Magnusson, the second Swede in the final ended in sixth place. Norwegian Birk Ruud won with a total score of 190.25, a quarter point ahead of Canadian Teal Harle.
