A nightmare day for the Swedish biathlon. Linn Persson wobbled on the first lap and lost valuable time to the lead. Elvira Öberg went out strong in the track and ran in time for Sweden, but in the first shooting all hope of a Swedish pallet place disappeared. Five bombs and two penalty rounds resulted in Sweden falling down among nations like China and Korea at the bottom of the field.

- I don't know what happened. It feels good, but it is frustrating when I have finished shooting and only have one hit. It's frustrating when I don't feel it's bad shots. It's boring. There is a little rough entrance to the dike, but nothing you are above, there is not so much you can blame, Elvira Öberg sighs after his distance.

A difficult situation got worse

Mona Brorsson had a somewhat hopeless task for Sweden when she was just over 2.30 after leading Italy. But it would be worse, even Brorsson was wobbling on his route and the sad situation was only getting worse. Hanna Öberg went on the final stretch as fifteenth rider 3.15 after the leaders Russia.

- It is clear that we had hoped for something better than this. I really did everything I could. I pulled a wrap on the last lap, I don't know if it's because I have too fast skis. The ski just stuck away. I wavered and the Estonian passed. "It's very edge out today," Mona Brorsson said after her stretch.

In a few seconds, Öberg the elder could race and Sweden finally finished in tenth place.

Norway won after a magical last stretch from Marte Röiseland who went around the Russian Yurlova and was able to drive home Norway's third relay victory of three possible.
