With just over eleven minutes left of the third period, Victor Olofsson got a big open area on the left in front of the Nashville goal. Brandon Montour saw the opening, and struck a distinct pass that gave the Swedish forward an open goal.

But the shot went off. However, Olofsson could hardly be upset about it. The puck hit the coffin, and Olofsson picked it up on the other side of the goal, pulled it in front of goal and lined it up over the leg guard on goalie.

The Swede has thus only been scoreless off the ice in three of the last eighteen matches.

- Victor has learned at the speed of light to fight to get and regain the puck possession in one-on-one situations against the heavier players. Because it's the ones he's fighting for, the better slopes, the heavier chains. And he wins his battles, says coach Ralph Krueger at the press conference after the match.

Rasmus Dahlin was back on the ice after his concussion, which forced him to stand over eight games. The 19-year-old starback got just over 15 minutes of playing time, and was noted for the season's 15th assist when he was involved in the preliminary work for Jack Eichel's second goal of the evening.

In Nashville, Filip Forsberg and Calle Järnkrok were listed for each assist, and Linus Ullmark in the Buffalo goal made 36 saves.
