The dispute was resolved in October and after a camp in Falun a couple of weeks ago, a national team squad was presented which was half new compared to this spring's World Cup failure. Eleven players remain from the World Cup and eleven are new to the German Füssen four-nation tournament.

The new women's crowns never had a real chance against the host nation, who took the lead after just over five minutes. Maja Nylén-Persson was able to put 1–1, but then Germany extended its lead to 3–1, before the women's crown managed to reduce by just under two minutes in the second period.

Now matches are awaiting against Finland on Friday and against Switzerland on Saturday.
