Arsenal turned their goal behind West Ham United into a precious 3-1 victory on Monday in the 16th round of the English Premier League.

The first half ended with West Ham advancing with a goal scored by Italian defender Angelo Ojona in the 38th minute.

But Arsenal's performance improved significantly in the second half of the game, and the team managed to score two goals, signed by 18-year-old Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Martinelli and Ivorian striker Nicholas Bibi in the 60th and 66th minutes.

Gabonese international striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang confirmed Arsenal's victory by scoring the third goal in the 69th minute, raising his score to 11 goals and ranking second in the list of scorers with Chelsea star Abraham behind leader Jimmy Vardi, Leicester's top scorer with 16 goals.

The win raised Arsenal's balance to 22 points in ninth place, and West Ham's balance stopped at 16 points in 16th place.

Arsenal failed to win the last nine games in all tournaments, in the worst stage experienced by the ancient team in 42 years.
