Vincent Janssen has reached the final of the play-offs for the national title with Monterrey in the night from Sunday to Monday (Dutch time). The Mexican top club won the return against Necaxa with 0-1.
Rogelio Funes Mori signed deep in injury time for the only goal of the match. The narrow victory was enough for Monterrey to continue, as coach Antonio Mohamed's club had won the first leg 2-1.
Janssen was at the kick-off at Monterrey and was taken two minutes before half-time - apparently due to an injury - to the side. Remarkably, the Dutch striker was shown a yellow card when he walked to the side.
25-year-old Janssen walked out of the field at a slow pace, after which César Ramos grabbed him slightly to direct him to the side. The Dutchman reacted somewhat irritated and turned yellow.
In the final of the play-offs, Monterrey faces Club América, which dealt with Monarcas Morelia in two games. The battle for the national title is also settled over two games (on 12 and 15 December).
Vincent Janssen gets a yellow card because the referee decided to grab, makes sense🙄 #Rayados | #ArribaElMonterreyAvatar
