British rider Lewis Hamilton , who has just proclaimed himself the sixth world champion in Formula One, and Italian rider Valentino Rossi , nine times world motorcycle champion, have been challenged next Monday in a closed-door exhibition on the circuit Ricardo Tormo de Cheste, in which they will exchange their vehicles.
In an event promoted by one of the sponsors who have both champions in common (Monster Energy), Rossi will sit behind the wheel of the Mercedes, while Hamilton will drive the Yamaha M1.
Rossi has shared on his social networks some images in the Mercedes factory in Brackley sitting in a car where they made adjustments to condition the car for the piloting of the Italian, who wrote: "I think Lewis Hamilton and I will have some fun soon ".
For his part, Hamilton also noted in his social networks: "Very excited to change our mounts with the legendary Valentino Rossi very soon ... Are you prepared Valentino Rossi?".
The Mercedes team published in its profile: "The F-1 and MotoGP, the crossing you have been waiting for. Lewis Hamilton and Valentino Rossi in the best frame exchange! Very soon ..." and in another tweet you could see a photo of Rossi sitting in the Mercedes car next to a text that read: "Has anyone called the Doctor?", Referring to the popular nickname of the Italian driver.
This will not be the first time Rossi climbs into a Formula One car, since the Yamaha driver already tested a Ferrari in 2006 and in 2010, for the last time.
