The Swedish ski cross rider easily progressed from her quarter-final heat which she won comfortably.
It became more booky for national teammate Alexandra Edebo. Before the last jump, she was in fourth place and looked to be knocked out. Then there was a riot between Fanny Smith, Marielle Thomson and Sanna Luedi. The two latter fell violently and Alexandra Edebo was able to go in behind Fanny Smith and move on.

successful start

The Swedes also ended up in the same semi-final heat. A heat that Sandra Näslund won before Fanny Smith and Alexandra Edebo close behind. In the final there was a new duel between Sandra Näslund and Fanny Smith. This time Sandra Näslund failed to get past Fanny Smith and the Swede had to settle for second place.
- She didn't have enough speed to pass Fanny Smith. But she makes a really stable premiere weekend, says SVT Sports expert Lars Lewen.

Alexandra Edebo finished a total of six after she finished second in the "small finals".
