Engström, who never placed better fifth in a competition on the European Tour, was in second place for the last round in Malaga last weekend. But a nightmare round helped her finish four - a new personal record.

During the weekend's competitions in Kenya, she has instead had a dream opening and leads after two days - six strokes before second Kelsey Macdonald from Scotland.

Engström's games have been stable and have made two rounds of 67 strokes and 66 strokes respectively. The races continue tomorrow.
