In mid-December last year, Jose Mourinho got fired from Manchester United after the team underperformed during the season opener.
Eleven months later he found a new job when he took over Tottenham after manager Mauricio Pochettino was fired from the London club. In Tottenham, José Mourinho got off to a good start with two wins in the league and one in the Champions League.

Back in Manchester

Tonight he was also back in Manchester when Tottenham visited Manchester United. It wasn't a fun start for José Mourinho because Marcus Rashford gave the home team the lead to 1-0 with a distance shot. United also continued to play well as the goal shooter Rashord had several positions to extend the lead with a rib shot. In the middle of the half, Mourinho was also tackled when Daniel James flew straight into Tottenham's coach.
But really from nowhere, Tottenham equalized through Dele Alli who deliciously took down a ball into the penalty area and sent in 1-1 after 39 minutes played.

Rashford match hero

United - who had two straight crosses in the Premier League - gathered at the break. And after just two minutes into the second half, goalkeeper Marcus Rashford took the lead and made his way into the penalty area and past Moussa Sisskoka who dropped Rashford just before the card line. Referee Pail Tierney did not hesitate and inflicted a penalty on Manchester United. There, Marcus Rashford made no mistake when he fooled Paulo Gazzaniga and placed the match decision 2-1.

Victor Nilsson Lindelöf played the entire match in the Manchester defense.
