It was in the podcast Spittin 'Chiclets that former big player Chris Chelios talked about how Mike Babcock treated Johan Franzén. He told how Franzén broke down after the way the coach treated him.

- It went so far that Johan poor Johan, who we did not know suffered from concussions and depression, he broke down. Not only on the bench but in one of the rooms after a game in Nashville. It's probably the worst I've ever seen, says Chelios.

And the event after a playoff game against Nashville is something Franzén remembers to this day.

- I get shivers when I think about it. That was against Nashville in the playoffs. It was rough, nasty and shocking. But that was just one of a hundred things he did. The tip of an iceberg, he tells the Express.

"Terrible man"

When Franzén then gets asked how he would describe Babcock, it is a good coach he describes, but on the contrary when he describes his personality.

- As a coach he is extremely accurate and prepared. He is great at putting together a gaming system and getting everyone to buy into it. That's his strong side.

- But then he's a terrible man, the worst person I've ever met. A bully who cheated on people, it could be cleaners in the arena in Detroit or anyone. He jumped on people just because, he tells the Express.

"Recognize the bed bug"

During SVT's NHL broadcast last Friday, former goalkeeper Mikael Tellqvist told him that he had experienced similar things during his time in North America.

- I recognize this behavior from when I was in the farmer's team with the coaches I had, I recognize the mental terror, says Tellqvist.
