Saudi Arabia faces Qatar and Iraq meet Bahrain

Two confrontations are expected in the semi-finals of the Arabian Gulf Football Cup (Gulf 24), where the Saudi team will meet the leaders of Group B, the second-placed Qatar in Group A.

Saudi Arabia's Al-Akhdar defeated Oman 3-1 in the final round of the group stage, while the Bahraini team snatched the qualification to the golden box by beating Kuwait 4-2.

In the first game, the Saudi team qualified deservedly to the semi-finals of the championship, beating Oman precious.

Defending champions Oman were held to four points to finish third in the group on goal difference behind Bahrain, who beat Kuwait 4-2 in the other game in the group to send the defending champions Oman from the first round.

In the second half, Al Mundhir Rabie Al Alawi scored a goal for Oman (55), but Al Akhdar responded with a third goal, also signed by Bahabri (57).

In the second match, he scored the Bahraini team's goals on the cities (the last minute of the first half), Jassim Al-Sheikh (70) and Thiago Fernandez (83 and overtime).

Kuwait's goals were scored by Yousef Nasser (57 from the penalty spot) and Ahmed Al Zanki (85).

Bahrain will face Iraq next Thursday.
