UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the 120km National Day Cup race held today at Al Wathba Emirates Global Village.

The race was held under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, to celebrate the 48th National Day, with the participation of 217 horsemen and jockeys.

Saeed Ahmed Jaber Al-Harbi crowned the horse of Al-Faza 3 stables under the supervision of Ali Ghanem Al-Marri, the champion of the race, where he cut the stages in a total time of 4:11:18 hours, at an average speed of 28.65 km per hour.

Saeed Salim Al Muhairi was second on the Caesar's SS stables and clocked 4:11:29 hours, 11 seconds behind the champion, while Sultan Arif Mohsin on HLP was third. Gaddafi 'for Al Wathba stables, scoring a time of 4:11:36 hours.

The winners were Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, President of the Emirates Equestrian Federation, Musallam Al Ameri, General Manager of Emirates International Village of Al Wathba, Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Equestrian Federation, and Mohammed Al Hadrami, Events Manager.

Maj. Gen. Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Raisi said that the anniversary of "Martyr's Day" represents a day of pride and honor for the heroic martyrs who gave their lives with great pride in order to raise the homeland and preserve and protect its gains and capabilities.
