The president of the Orenburg football club Vladimir Kiyayev announced his readiness to postpone the match of the 18th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) from Sochi to 2020 due to the illness of several players of the opposing team.

“I spoke with the head coach, we discussed the situation. Since they have a weakened squad, it makes no sense to play now. It all depends on Sochi, if they say that it is better to postpone this match, then we are ready to meet them, ”TASS quoted Kiyaev as saying.

According to him, none of the Sochi representatives have yet come to him about the game, but he himself considers it right to postpone the match.

On November 29, information appeared that ten Sochi football players had a sore throat, because of which training was canceled before the match of the 18th round of the RPL with Orenburg.

Earlier, the Sochi doctor talked about the condition of sick footballers.
