Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday night watched Turkish club Basaksehir's visit to AS Roma in the fifth round of Group 10 in the Europa League.

The match ended with a 3-0 win over AS Roma to lead the group with eight points, one behind Mönchengladbach, three behind Basaksehir with seven and Wolfsburg fourth with four.

The match took place at Fatih Trim Stadium in Basaksehir, Istanbul.

Erdogan used to follow the matches of the Turkish teams and teams, and was keen to attend some games and congratulated the national team to qualify for the European Championship 2020, after a draw with the Iceland team mid-month.
