A number of international and Arab sites quoted the French Football magazine as a dialogue and a text message sent by Argentine player Lionel Messi, to the Brazilian player Neymar, on the application of "WhatsApp", through which Messi revealed, his desire to leave FC Barcelona, after the severe loss that Barcelona were beaten by Liverpool in the Champions League semi-final last season.
Liverpool thrashed the Spanish team 4-0 in a match that saw the absence of the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, to repeat the Spanish team exit from the championship and strange results after leading in the first leg match three.
"We will win the Champions League only if we are together. I want you to come back. After two years I will leave the club and you will take my place afterwards," said Messi, according to the magazine.
Messi's message came after the "shocking" defeat immediately, illustrating the Argentine star's great desire to return his former teammate, and achieve the Champions League title for the first time since 2015.
Neymar won the Champions League with his teammate Messi four years ago, before leaving Barcelona in the summer of 2017 and heading to the ranks of the Paris club for 222 million euros, in the biggest deal of football so far.
