The year 2019 witnessed an Arab brilliance in terms of winning the clubs and Arab teams in continental football titles in various competitions.

At the national level, Qatar won the Asian Cup in January for the first time.

Followed by the success of the Algerian national team African Cup of Nations held in Egypt last June for the second time in its history after an absence of 29 years.

Finally, the Egyptian team managed to qualify for the Olympic Games to be held in Tokyo 2020, and crowned the African Nations Cup under-23 for the first time in history at home and among the public.

With regard to club competitions at the continental level, Esperance of Tunisia managed to win the African Champions League title at the expense of Morocco's Wydad Casablanca.

Egypt's Zamalek won the Confederation Cup for the first time in history after beating Morocco's Berkane Berkane in the final with a total of two home and away matches.

Lebanon's Al-Ahd won their first AFC Cup title by beating the North Korean champions April 25 in their match in Malaysia in early November.

Today, Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal won the AFC Champions League for the third time in their history after Urawa Red Dynamos beat Japan in the final on aggregate.

The Arab achievement could be completed this year with an Arab team crowning the Club World Cup in Qatar next month.
