On Saturday, the sixth and final competition was organized in the newly launched International Swimming League (ISL) swimming circus. Sarah Sjöström finished second in her two individual races in the short course in London.

First, the Swedish world star at the time swam 56.33 on the 100-meter butterfly, 38 hundredths behind Australian Emma McKeon. At 50 freely, Sjöström got to see himself beaten by McKeon's compatriot Cate Campbell, who won at 23.48, four hundredths ahead of Sjöström.

"Really cool"

The competitions are arranged at high pace and the swimmers represent different teams. In connection with the removal of Sarah Sjöström on Wednesday in Sweden's Olympic squad to Tokyo next year, TT asked her about ISL.

- It's really cool to be able to compete with a team. The atmosphere live is absolutely amazing. It's very, very cool to be part of that competition, ”says 26-year-old Sjöström, who competes for the top team Energy Standard.

TT: Is there anything that needs improvement?

- There are always things to improve, it is the first season the competition is in progress. So absolutely, there is a lot that can be better.

A snack ice cream during the premiere season has been that the active swim many intense races in a short time. That means a great entertainment value in the money-saving competition.

Final in Las Vegas

- It's a very, very short time between races. For me it doesn't matter, I'm very used to running many branches and have a good physique to handle it. But it's tough to run so many branches in such a short time, but I think it's fun, says Sarah Sjöström.

December 20-21 the ISL finals will be held in Las Vegas, USA.

TT: How much have you financially withdrawn?

- I actually have no control. I haven't looked at those numbers that much. I rarely do that during the race.
