Manchester City owes a big victory to Algerian star Riad Mehrez, who scored the winner 2-1 in the 37th minute.

Ngulu Kanti opened the scoring for the Blues (22), then the Citizens drew through Kevin De Bruyne (29), before scoring the winner for City.

Defending champions Manchester City moved nine points clear of leaders Liverpool after a 3-1 defeat in the 12th round of the Premier League on February 10.

Having extended the gap to 12 points after a 2-1 win at Crystal Palace, the "Heavenly Team" favored their fans with an important victory over Chelsea to increase their score to 28 points in third place, nine points behind leaders Liverpool, and one point behind Leicester City Second place.

Manchester City cut a series of six straight wins for Chelsea, who have 26 points and have slipped to fourth.
