Today's semi was a reprise of last year's European Championship final. Then Sweden had the chance to take home their fifth straight European gold, but the Scots then peeled and won 9-5. After beating the Scots earlier in the day in the group play, Team Edin got another revenge today when they took the match 8-4.

- A very good match for us. When we go up to 3-0 early, we force them to hard punches to try to catch up, says Niklas Edin to SVT Sport.

Team Edin faces a young Switzerland in the final

Sweden is thus ready for its sixth straight European Championship final on the men's side. In Saturday's final against a young Swiss national team.

- They are good and have won JVM. They are young and have everything to gain and we have everything to lose. We have to focus and play very, very well to win, says skipper Niklas Edin to SVT Sport after the victory.

Sweden went up an early lead with 3-0 after two innings. A nerve to the nerve in the match could be expected when Scotland went up to 4-3 after the fifth round. But in the end it was a controlled victory for the Swedes and with 8-4 in the ninth round the Scots gave up.

- It felt like we had a great takeover, both playfully and mentally. A very safe and stable effort, Edin tells SVT Sport.
