In his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, has issued Decree No. 34 of 2019 to include the Victorian Foundation in the Dubai International Marine Sports Club as an organizational unit within its organizational structure.
The decree stipulates that all functions and competencies assigned to the institution shall be transferred to the club by virtue of decree no. (12) of 1996 on the establishment of the “Victorian” institution and the legislations in force in the emirate. According to the decree, the Dubai International Marine Sports Club shall have a Board of Directors consisting of a Chairman and a Vice-President, and a number of members appointed by a resolution issued by the Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council for a renewable period of four years.The Board of Directors of the Club shall supervise its activities and activities. Any provision in any other legislation to the extent to which it contradicts the provisions of this Decree shall be repealed, provided that the regulations, regulations and decisions issued pursuant to Decree No. 12 of 1996 on the establishment of the Victorian Foundation shall continue to apply to the extent that they do not conflict with the provisions of this Decree.
