Team Hasselborg went on Sunday morning on his first loss in the curling European Championships in Helsingborg. In the second team game of the Swedish team, the reigning world champion Switzerland became an overwhelming task, and team Hasselborg were defeated by 3-9.

- We put a lot of good punches in first but make some mistakes and do not really find the feeling for the ice. That is what is decisive I would say, said Agnes Knockenhauer to the Swedish Curling Association after the match.

8–7 to Team Trizoni

In March this year, Switzerland and Sweden met in the World Cup finals in curling. A match that Swiss teams Tirinzoni won with 8–7.

Sweden won the first group game against Denmark by 6-3 on Saturday - and later on Sunday, team Hasselborg was back on the winning track.

"Worked for good"

In the evening Germany was defeated by 6-3.

- We controlled the ice conditions and worked well as a team. It feels good to get a win here in the evening after a slightly heavier match against Switzerland this morning, Anna Hasselborg told the Swedish Curling Association after the victory.

Grand victory against Italy

Team Niklas Edin, on the other hand, has lined up three wins after an equal number of matches.

The Swedish men followed up the two preliminary wins against Denmark (9–3) and Switzerland (8–5) by beating last year’s European bronze medalist Italy by 10–4.

"Got to tie his fist"

This despite a tough start and an early down.

- We had to tie our fists in our pockets and really fight our way into the match from 0-2. But we felt that we played better than them and then we came in the race, took a four-point and then the match was over, says Niklas Edin to the Swedish Curling Association and adds:

- It was a stable and good effort.
