Clippers Paul George made his home debut for the club at Staples Center and scored 37 points in 20 minutes. That's the highest point a Clippers player has had in his home debut and no player in NBA history has scored 37 points in less than 21 minutes.

- I could get used to this, George smiled on American television after the game, writes the Los Angeles Times.

The home fans were hoping George would form super pairs with Kawhi Leonard but he missed the match due to a knee injury. In fact, the super duo has not even trained together.

George made his debut on Thursday after playing no match for seven months after operating both shoulders. In Thursday's debut, George scored 33 points in 24 minutes. He is matched sparingly to avoid any setbacks after the surgery.

"It was a dream come true"

- It was a dream come true; to play at home for my family and friends. I'm glad to just be able to play basketball again, says George, who during the match got the crowd cheering with "6-1-1", which is the area code for Palmdale outside Los Angeles where George grew up.

The gain of 150-101 was also entered in the Clippers history books. It is the largest profit margin (49 points) in the club's history, dating back to founding in 1970. The 150 points are the second best in Clippers history.

"We also had 30-40 points that didn't play tonight," Geroge said, referring to injured Leonard.

In Minnesota, Houston won 125-105 after James Harden scored 49 points. He shot 41 shots which is the most he has done during a match of his career. It was Harden's fifth match with at least 40 points this season.
