“We can confirm that Medvedev will not play for the Russian team in Madrid,” TASS quoted the press service as saying.

It is noted that no one was called in to replace Medvedev. Thus, three tennis players will compete in the national team: Karen Khachanov, Andrey Rublev and Evgeny Donskoy.

On November 18, as part of the group stage of the tournament, the Russians will play with Croatia, and on the 19th with Spain. Each meeting will consist of one doubles and two single matches.

Earlier it was reported that Russian tennis player Vitaly Dyachenko won the tournament in Taipei.
