For the past seven seasons, Robert Nilsson has played in the Swiss league with the ZSC Lions. However, since January 2018, the 34-year-old forward has not played any ice hockey at all when he happened to have a concussion.

Now Sweden's successful ice hockey career looks to be over.

The club's sports manager Sven Leuenberger also confirms that the Swede has played his last match.

In total, there have been 198 points in 197 matches in the Swiss league for the Swede who has also played 252 NHL matches with Edmonton and the New York Islanders.
