Invited Thursday Europe 1, the defender has talked about his successful integration with the Blues, while he should honor his sixth selection against Moldova.

INTERVIEW

The meeting will be crucial for the France team. Thursday, against Moldova at the Stade de France, the Blues receive Moldova for the penultimate match of qualifications for Euro 2020, and a victory would offer them their ticket for the competition. On the pitch, defender Clement Lenglet will honor him his sixth selection, having won in a few games as a safe bet of the tricolor defense. Invited from Europe 1, the FC Barcelona player tells the "serene" Blues, and confides on his integration among the world champions.

"We have not yet this pressure," says Clement Lenglet, "but it will rise over the hours and as the game gets closer". "We are serene," he said, however, and "ready to play a big match to qualify tonight against Moldova".

Arrived at the Bleus only in June, how did Clement Lenglet live his entry into an already well-formed group, in which many players won together the World Cup? "We observe, we look for his place," says the defender, "and thanks to the players who have been there for quite some time, we manage to integrate easily". His teammates in France are "very open players who allow us to show our qualities in the field, but also outside," he says.

"Very nice to work with Didier Deschamps"

A group easy to integrate, therefore, and led for seven years by Didier Deschamps. "His great experience as a player allows him to feel things, to read the matches and to be very tactical", says Clément Lenglet, adding that the former coach of OM and AS Monaco "manages to transmit a lot of positive vibes and a lot of confidence" to his players. "It's very pleasant to work with him," he concludes.

On Griezmann's sluggish debut at Barça: "His adaptation will be done very quickly". While Antoine Griezmann's debut at FC Barcelona is mixed, Clement Lenglet is not alarmed. "He has exceptional qualities and I have no doubt that his adaptation will be done very quickly," he said, recalling the differences in style of play between Barça and Atletico Madrid, the former Mâconnais club.

Still, by winning at the Blues, Clément Lenglet took the place of Samuel Umtiti, he had already pushed on the bench in Barcelona. But, says the native of Beauvais, "the agreement we have is superb, we are very close, it is someone very professional". And to add: "We try to help as much as possible the partner who will play".
