World Cup champion Villa announces retirement

The world and European champion in the Spanish national team, David Villa, who now plays for the Japanese Wissel Kobe, announced his intention to end his career at the end of the current season in Japan.



“After 19 years of professional career, I decided to leave football at the end of this season. Thanks to all the teams, coaches and teammates who let me enjoy my dream career, ”Villa wrote on his Twitter.
