Rafael Nadal still has a chance to go to the final in the ATP tour's final game but it was after a proper nail biter that the Spaniard remained. The final figures for the Spaniards ended 6-7 (7-3), 6-3, 7-6 (7-4).

Nadal got into the dock already after the first set when Medvedev struggled to a 1-0 lead.

In the second set, the 33-year-old played well and won easily with 6-3 but when the third came, Medvedev looked strongest.

Turned the match with a stop ball

The Russian had a match ball with a score of 5-1 in Nadals serve but then the world set turned the match in total with a fantastic blow. With a brilliant stop ball, Nadal saved the match and changed the mental game out on the field totally.

From that ball, Nadal went from being totally played to eating into the third set and holding his serve.

The recovery then continued all the way into a crucial tiebreak where again there were chances for Medvedev who did not seem to be focused enough unlike the world view.
