Zlatan Ibrahimovic announced his departure at LA Galaxy on Wednesday. The Swede does social media in a characteristic way.
The contract of the 38-year-old former player of Ajax, Internazionale and Paris Saint-Germain, among others, expired after the past season. Ibrahimovic hinted before not to go further in the North American competition MLS.
"I came, I saw, I conquered", Ibrahimovic reports on Twitter. "Thank you LA Galaxy for making me feel alive. To the fans: you wanted Zlatan and I gave you Zlatan, please. My story continues, you can watch baseball again."
The striker has played for LA Galaxy since the beginning of 2018, which killed him last season in the quarter-finals of the play-offs. Los Angeles FC proved too strong. Seattle Sounders eventually grabbed the title.
Ibrahimovic has not yet announced what he is going to do now, but it is whispered that he may return to AC Milan. He already played for that team from 2010 to 2012.
For LA Galaxy, the attacker managed to score 53 goals in 58 duels in two years. Partly because of this Ibrahimovic described himself as "the best who has ever played in the MLS". "And I'm not kidding," he added.
I came, I saw, I conquered. Thank you @lagalaxy for making me feel alive again. To the Galaxy fans - you wanted Zlatan, I gave you Zlatan. You are welcome. The story continues ... Now go back to watch baseballAvatar
