David Abraham was suspended on Wednesday for the remainder of this year following the red card he received on Sunday. The captain of Eintracht Frankfurt crashed in the duel with SC Freiburg trainer Christian Streich.

Abraham must also pay a fine of 25,000 euros. Freiburg's Vincenzo Grifo was suspended for three matches because of his part in the rebellion after Abraham's action.

Sunday was completely out of control in the injury time of the game (1-0 for Freiburg). Abraham quickly wanted to grab the ball for a throw-in and Streich ran a little in his way. The football player then turned the trainer roughly upside down.

The entire dugout of Freiburg then emptied to attack Abraham. Grifo dealt a blow and received a red card on the recommendation of the VAR.

Frankfurt had already imposed a fine of € 35,000 on Abraham. The 33-year-old Argentinian misses the competition duels with VfL Wolfsburg, Mainz 05, Hertha BSC, Schalke 04, 1.FC Köln and Paderborn due to his suspension.
