The General Authority for Sport in Saudi Arabia, as well as the Spanish Federation, announced the establishment of the Spanish Super Cup in the Kingdom for the next three years, starting from January next, with the participation of four clubs: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Atletico Madrid.

The announcement came on the sidelines of the draw for the competition at the headquarters of the Spanish Football Federation, the day before yesterday, in the Spanish capital Madrid, after the signing of the contract between the Spanish and Saudi parties.

The event was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Sports Authority, as well as the President of the Spanish Federation, Luis Rubiales, along with four stars representing the four clubs: Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Busquets (Barcelona) and Saul Niguez ( Atletico) and Luis Gaia (Valencia).

Spanish newspapers, including «S» and «Marka» as well as «Sport Business» that the value of the contract amounted to 120 million euros, distributed to 40 million euros each season, with the clubs participating to receive the lion's share of these amounts. The distribution of the Super Cup rewards showed that Valencia were the least fortunate, even if they were crowned champions would receive less money than Real Madrid and Barcelona, even if the two were eliminated in the semi-finals.

The competition will be held in the semi-finals and the final, where he will meet in the four rounds of Real Madrid with Valencia on January 8, to face Atletico Barcelona on the ninth of it, then the final on 12 of the same month. The matches will be played at the stadium of King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah «radioactive jewel».

According to Marca, Real Madrid and Barcelona will receive nine million euros for their participation, even if they get out of the semi-finals, while Valencia will get three million euros and six million for Atletico, but if Real or Barcelona win the title, they will get 12 million euros. The rewards are divided into three categories, participation and winning the title or second place, and then the history of the team in terms of titles in (league and cup), which makes Valencia lag behind the three teams.

Valencia president Anil Murthy objected to the system, telling Marca: "It is inconceivable that we are being oppressed, while we are four big teams, and the rewards must be equal among all."

Saudi Arabia has succeeded in organizing major sports competitions globally and in various games, in the framework of promoting the image of the Kingdom in the field of tourism sports, especially in view of the great public momentum, which is famous for football in Saudi Arabia in addition to the interests of many other sports.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has won the Spanish Super Contract over other countries, including India and China.

The Super system was previously held two games back and forth in Spain only, but the Spanish Federation approved, in April, a new system to establish a system of four teams.
