The organizing committee of the Sayah Al Salam Bicycle Race for Amateurs and Professionals revealed yesterday that the competition will be transformed into an annual championship in its next edition, under the name of “Peace Championship”, which will be held between December and February next, and from four stages, where it will witness for the first time a race for women. This came in a press statement on the sidelines of the preparatory meeting of the Organizing Committee.
The race was held in the past three years under the name of "Cycling Race" in the area of Al Marmum Nature Reserve, and achieved great success in raising the level of UAE riders and residents in the country, as well as at the Gulf level through the organization of a championship in three stages, and the award of large financial prizes AED 1 million for the winners in each stage, and AED 3 million in total prizes.
The organizing committee stressed that «the first objective is to raise the level of riders, and to promote the great benefits of this sport on the health and vitality of members of the community, as well as to strengthen the bonds of friendship and coexistence among them, which was the support of the construction of large tracks extending tens of kilometers in the area of peace Marmum Nature Reserve, “Many other areas in Dubai all provide a safe environment for cyclists.”

The organizing committee will announce in the coming days the names of the sponsors and the details of the three men's races. The first race will take place in December, the second in January and the third in February, along with details of the women's race.

Saif Al Mazrouei: We have finished preparations for the traffic plan
Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of Dubai Police Traffic Department, said that Dubai Traffic has completed its preparations to set up the necessary traffic plan for the Peace Championship by forming a field team to survey the area, identify the race tracks and study the problems faced by the committee in the past years.
