The Sports Arbitration Court (Cas) now announces that it has received an appeal from Alberto Salazar and his accomplice endocrinologist James Brown.

Salazar and Brown were sentenced to four years in prison for drug offenses by the US anti-doping agency USADA just over a month ago. Salazar and Brown constantly denied the offense and announced immediately after the verdict that they would both appeal the verdict to Cas.

When Cas will address the case, however, it is unclear when in connection with the appeal notice does not give an exact date.

"At this stage, it seems that the hearings in these two cases will probably not take place before March 2020." Cas tells Reuters.
