Via a fantastic finishing lap in the semi-finals by Andreas Bakkerud, the Norwegian posted it for a shake-up finish in the final race of the Rallycross World Cup.

The victory allowed him to stand in pole position in the finals where worst competitor Timmy Hansen started second.

Initially they both took first and second place but that changed shortly thereafter. Timmy Hansen got in a curve and ended up in the wall. Every now and then he was no better than fifth and in that situation no world champion.

But Hansen accounted for a strong pick-up and when Timo Scheider spun, Timmy Hansen was able to slip past and finally managed to turn four.

Bakkerud needed a win but a miss from the Norwegian made him no better than second.

They both ended up at the same point, 211, but Hansen won thanks to more sub-victories thus becoming Hansen world champion.
