Two Japanese players participated in both men and women. Of these, Igawa was the 18th in the boys, and Ishihara was the 16th in the women's at 110 points, and the Japanese Olympics were selected as representatives of the Tokyo Olympics.

The two representatives will be officially approved by the Board of Directors of the Japan Clay Shooting Association on the 20th of this month.

Igawa is 31 years old from Kanagawa Prefecture. This is the first Olympic appearance.
