First they lost against the tournament winner Czech Republic, then on penalties against Russia and then they ended up not enough in the rival meeting with the Finnish lions.

Finland made 1-0 through Mikko Lehtonen in the first period and in the second, Miro Aaltonen completed a pattern attack that brought a full Hartwall Arena to a full.

Aaltonen expands for Finland

Sweden reduced through Olle Alsing, but it stayed there and thus there was no victory in Garpenlöv's first tournament as the main responsible.

"In terms of results it is unsuccessful, but in terms of gameplay Sweden has too thin material to be able to compete with the Czech Republic, Russia and Finland," says SVT Sports expert Jonas Andersson.

Finland had a third puck in goal as well. It was approved after video review, but then the League of Nations challenged Johan Garpenlöv because of a battle against Adam Reideborn in the Swedish case. Then Sweden got right and the goal was failed. The entire procedure took a total of eight minutes.
