The youth team is looking for a place to qualify for the AFC U-19 Championship when they meet at Bass Stadium in the Iranian capital Tehran at 6:15 pm on Sunday against Iran in a decisive confrontation at the end of Group D matches in the qualifiers currently being held in Iran. The team is currently third with three points from a 4-0 win over Nepal in the first round, while losing to Kyrgyzstan 2-0 in the second round.

The first-place team from each group qualifies directly to the finals, in addition to the top four teams in second place. If Uzbekistan hosts the tournament, they will finish first in their group, and the top five teams in second place will qualify.
