Lieke Martens and Stefanie van der Gragt play in the quarterfinals of the Champions League against Atlético Madrid by keeper Sari van Veenendaal. That was revealed by the draw at UEFA's head office in Nyon on Friday.
Atlético starts a diptych at home. Martens, the World Football Player of the Year in 2017, returned to the training field of Barcelona this week after a lingering toe injury.
The two Spanish clubs have been dominant in their own country in recent years, but have never managed to win the Champions League. Barcelona fell 4-1 in the final last year against Olympique Lyon.
The French club of Shanice van der Sanden plays in the quarterfinals against Bayern Munich, which has Orange striker Lineth Beerensteyn in its ranks.
