Al Ain Club duo Bandar Al Ahbabi and Ivan Lecco won the Best Player and Best Coach in the Arabian Gulf League for the month of October, while Kalba Ittihad goalkeeper Jamal Abdulla was named the best goalkeeper of the month after the end of the voting which started at 6 pm on Monday (November 4) and lasted for 24 hours.


Al Ahbabi outperformed five players, taking 36% of the vote, narrowly ahead of his Togolese teammate Kodjo Lapa, who received 32% of the public's votes. Coronado and Ricardo Gomez are fourth and fifth, respectively.
Kalba Union goalkeeper Jamal Abdullah became the first Tigers player to win one of the best monthly prizes since its launch last season.


"Abdullah", the victory over goalkeeper Ahmed Champagne after fierce competition, as it received 38% of the votes, while Champagne won 36%, and the solution of goalkeeper Ali Khasif third with 26% of the total votes.


Following a competition among the three coaches who were nominated for the Best Coach Award in September, the October prize of Croatian Al Ain coach Ivan Lecco won 44% of the vote, beating Sharjah coach Abdul Aziz Al Anbari with 30% of the vote. Al Ahly Rodolfo Arwabarina, who won the September award, third with 26% of the vote.


The UAE Professionals Association will hand out the prizes to the winners before the start of their teams' matches during the seventh round of the Arabian Gulf League, which starts on Thursday evening.
